We're leaving tonight for my first road trip to Florida! I can't wait to see everyone, and to meet all the family members I haven't seen yet. Mommy has been packing all day - I need a lot of stuff when I travel! There's all my clothes, PJs, blankets, and burp cloths, plus the Pack and Play where I sleep at night, bottles & pacifiers, my carseat and stroller, the bathtub, our Boppy, and of course a lot of diapers and formula. Oh, and I can't be without my swing! And then there's a whole bunch of little comfort items. And of course Mommy and Daddy have all their clothes to bring, also - I hope everything fits in the back of the car!
We'll be leaving when I fall asleep for the night; I usually sleep for about 6 hours, then wake up to eat, then sleep for about another 3 hours or so...so we'll probably be able to make it almost to Orlando before I wake up for the day (at least that's what Mommy and Daddy are hoping for - I've never had to sleep in the car for so long, so we'll see how it works out). I hope we make it all the way there, because if we do we'll be able to eat at some of Mommy and Daddy's favorite restaurants: Earl of Sandwich for lunch and Margaritaville for dinner. Yummy!
In other news, I'm getting bigger and stronger everyday! I'm smiling all the time now, and I'm starting to talk - I wish Mommy and Daddy knew how to speak baby so they could understand what I'm saying. I hold my head up really well and can sit up when someone helps me. I also love to stand up with someone holding me - my legs are super strong! I'm even starting to try to scoot with my legs and push up with my arms when we do "tummy time," although I still don't really like being on my tummy for too long.
We'll be back home just in time for Mommy's birthday and my 2-month checkup at the doctor - so there will be lots to tell! I'll post pictures of the trip and tell you all about Mommy's birthday and my 2-month stats.
