Tons of pics, video, and updates!

I am a terrible, awful, no good, very bad blogger.  I'm sorry.  I just checked the blog and realized that it's been more than 2 months since I updated it!  Well, that just means that this post will have tons of cool stuff.  :)

First, here are Maya's 3 and 4 month-old pictures:

3 Months:

4 Months:

She may not look very different in the 4 month vs. the 3 month pics, but she has grown a lot and has so much personality!  She's pretty much happy all the time, as long as she's fed.  She loves for us to talk to her and coo over her.  She smiles all the time and giggles a lot.  She can roll over both ways now (front to back and back to front), and we're working on supported sitting but she's not quite there yet (I think her cheeks are weighing her down, lol).  She loves her big brother and watches everything he does!  Sleep is hit or miss; since she started rolling from back to front we had to stop swaddling her for bedtime, and it took some getting used to.  I think she's finally starting to get comfortable again, and last night she slept from 8:30pm until about 7:30 this morning.  Yay!

Noah's school had a spring festival, and each of the classes got to sing onstage.  The theme was Little Rascals, so all the kids dressed up in costumes.  They were adorable!  I had been to see their rehearsal one day during music class, and all the kids in Noah's class knew all the words and movements to the songs they were singing...but on the day of the show, all they did was stand up on stage and stare at everyone.  I guess they were a bit overwhelmed by the whole experience.  It was still adorable!

She's very impressed, obviously.

Noah's teacher says that he loves music class - he's always front and center, singing and dancing the whole time!  She also said that he likes to draw on the easel and then use a marker as a pointer to tell all the other kids about what he drew.

Here are just some random recent pics of the kids:

Riding on Daddy's shoulders at the Trains exhibit at Cheekwood

He LOVED the trains!

Ask Noah what he wants to eat on any given night, and after he goes through the things he KNOWS he isn't going to get (pancakes & ice cream) he'll say Pad Thai & sushi.  This is what his face looks like after we eat Pad Thai.
Big smiles!
Tummy time!

For Easter, the Nashville Zoo had an egg hunt (the day before Easter, actually).  We went, and I was a little worried that Noah wouldn't really get it...but he knew exactly what to do!  He went straight to the eggs and started putting them in his basket.  He did great!

We had to go see the meercats at the zoo - it's his favorite exhibit!

Earlier this month we went to Hilton Head Island with our friends Julie & Bryan and their 10 month-old son Beau.  We all had a blast!  Here are some pics from our trip.

The girl knows how to relax!

All-you-can-eat crab legs...yum!

We decided we're going to take a picture in the same place every year when we go!

Watching Shannon Tanner perform (the same guy has been doing this show since Ray was little!)

New hat!

The second time we went to the beach, the tide was out and it had created a sort of "kiddie pool."  Noah wanted nothing to do with the actual ocean, but he loved this water!  We found lots of creatures:  a starfish, sand dollars, and even a jellyfish (which we left alone)

Lovin' the beach!

This little girl followed Noah around and kept trying to give him kisses!

Asleep on the beach....again.

Noah loves music of any kind; he is constantly singing, or pretending to play the drums or a guitar (he'll use ANYTHING as a guitar - I've seen him use his leg when he didn't have anything else handy).  While we were in Hilton Head we went to a restaurant and sat outside at a table that had a mesh metal top; he took some bendy straws and stuck them through the mesh and was using them as microphones.  Check it out:

Another one of his favorite foods is Miso soup (from the same place we go to get Pad Thai); here's the link to a video of him eating it.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-N60knpk1M

Also, Noah will be 2 years old in 4 DAYS!!  I can't believe it; it's gone by so fast...and yet it feels like he's been a part of our lives forever.  He's such a great kid - he's sweet, funny, and kind.  He's a great big brother and a good helper to me and his dad.  He can be stubborn...but hey, what toddler isn't from time to time?  He does such cute, funny things all the time, and I'm so lucky to be his mom and be able to watch him grow and help him learn to behave well and make the right decisions.  We love him SO much!!
